This was a very fun and satisfying remodel of a family home custom designed for them in the early 60’s. Reuse of materials and maintaining the "look" were very important. We were able to reuse beams from the deck as a support for the new range hood. We disassembled a portion of the existing cabinets and re-mill them into the new cabinet fronts so they matched what stayed. A large, failing retaining wall was replaced with a more permanent wall and the deck rebuilt. The deck overlooking the view was rebuilt with modern materials copying the original supports but now out of steel.
